Family Business Forum is the second initiative organized by M2S. It is an annual conference dedicated to family entrepreneurs held in Italy during the spring. Over the course of the two-day event, participants have the opportunity to attend seminars on a wide range of topics, as well as interviews and presentations given directly by entrepreneurs FBF is the first initiative of its kind and is unique in its format and content, thanks to a continuous search for new topics that affect family businesses of all sizes. Issues related to succession and family relationships are of central importance: we invite entrepreneurs who have personally dealt with these dynamics to share their experiences with the audience.
We also address topics such as innovation, technology, and philanthropy, along with broader economic and political issues that inevitably affect businesses. The Forum aims to inspire participants, stimulate further exploration and discussion, and offer, through workshops, useful tools for understanding the fundamental concepts of family businesses.
The conference is held in a different city each year to encourage more direct dialogue with the local community and involve as many entrepreneurs as possible. The initiative is organized with the support of Bocconi University and benefits from a prestigious scientific committee composed of Magda Bianco (Bank of Italy), Barbara Lunghi (Borsa Italiana), Innocenzo Cipolletta (AIFI), Piergaetano Marchetti, and Carlo Salvato (both from Bocconi University).

FBF is broadcast live on Sky and has a media partnership with ANSA. Videos of the speeches are available online, and FBF also has a website that is regularly updated with related news. The event welcomes around 500 people over the two days, including many entrepreneurs and professionals from the sector.
In addition to the Forum dedicated to the Italian public, 2025 will see the first edition of the Family Business Forum International. The experience gained over the years has highlighted the need for a space where international entrepreneurial families can meet, exchange ideas, and share unique experiences. For this reason, we have decided to expand the initiative. FBF International will be held in Italy at the end of 2025. It will be a one-day event, reserved for a select audience of 100 international family entrepreneurs. The day will begin with 10 interviews broadcast live on Sky, followed by private Q&A sessions, designed to allow the audience to interact directly with the speakers.
In addition to the event, an exclusive program of visits to some of the country’s most significant companies will be organized, guided by the entrepreneurs themselves.
